In the context of the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has had a strong and profound impact on all industries, sectors and different sectors of the economy. With the need to find effective solutions for sustainable socio-economic recovery and development in the post-COVID-19 period, An Giang Provincial People’s Committee coordinated with the US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City to organize the event. Investment and trade promotion seminar between the United States and the Mekong Delta provinces on January 20, 2022 in An Giang province.
To ensure epidemic prevention, the People’s Committee of An Giang province has developed a specific disease prevention plan. In particular, the maximum number of delegates attending the seminar is to be kept at a reasonable distance in the hall. Attendees must receive 2 full doses of COVID-19 vaccine or have a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result (rapid test or PCR) valid for 72 hours. Morning (8:30 – 11:00): Discussion about smart city, location: Meeting room No. 1 – People’s Committee of An Giang province (16C Ton Duc Thang, My Binh, Long Xuyen, An Giang). With the main content:

(1) Presentation of Vietnam’s licensing regulations for outward investment.
(2) Introduce SelectUSA Investment Program and SelectUSA Investment Conference 2022.
(3) Key Notes on Policy and Law for Foreign Direct Investment in the United States.
(4) FAQs related to seafood exports to the US market such as anti-dumping tax on pangasius; Proposals to support Vietnamese enterprises, especially in the Mekong Delta provinces such as An Giang, Kien Giang and Ca Mau when exporting to the US market.
With the goal of effectively implementing and exploiting trade and investment between Vietnam and the United States under the Vietnam – US Bilateral Trade Agreement and commitments in the World Trade Organization WTO; strengthen cooperation, relations and exchanges between Vietnam and the United States through investment and business activities.
