At the conference, Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khang said that, following the direction of the Government, Quang Ninh province has had many guidelines, measures, models, focusing on leadership, direction, and control. implement and organize the implementation of the task of improving the business investment environment, enhancing the province’s competitiveness regularly, continuously, and drastically. In 2021, the province’s economic growth rate (GRDP) will reach 10.28%, ranking second in the country. By the end of 2021, there are 16,800 businesses registered in the province with a total registered capital of VND 295,000 billion.

To achieve these results, Quang Ninh province has closely followed Resolution No. 02/NQ-CP, the directives of the Government. Regarding leadership, direction, and administration, Quang Ninh province has been proactive, drastic, and innovative in directing and operating, creating synchronous participation from all levels, branches, and the whole political system in the country. administrative reform efforts, improving business investment environment. Improving the business investment environment and enhancing competitiveness is based on two important factors: reforming mechanisms, policies, administrative procedures, and developing science and technology applications. Mr. Nguyen Van Than suggested that the Government should allocate appropriate capital for the development of science and technology applications in general, and especially technical infrastructure in particular in the roadmap from now to 2025.

At the Conference, Ms. Dang Tuyet Vinh, representative of the European Business Association in Vietnam (Eurocham) shared some of EuroCham’s opinions on “Reform and improve the business environment to promote recovery and development”.
