Consulate General of India with the vision to promote bilateral relations and investment between India & Vietnam 2021

On April 26, 2021, Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City held a press conference to announce the bilateral cooperation programs between Vietnam and India on investment, business, education and missions in the post-Covid-19 period.

Recently, the Covid-19 epidemic in India has been more complicated, as a former doctor, the Consul General of India believes that the Indian people have realized the importance of the precautious measurements and control in this pandemic.

Indian government and people are attempting to improve the current situation to effectively control, prevent the outbreak, and reduce the number of new cases and taking precautions is considered to have the greatest impact.

It is known that the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City will collaborate closely with Investment Promotion Center – South Vietnam (IPCS) in the investment promotion forums in the coming time, especially with the focus in the Mekong Delta region, which is currently potential for Indian investors with competitive factors in human resources, investment incentives, land funds.

Indian businesses with the similarities in many aspects of culture, philosophy, logics, people have been considering Vietnam as an ideal destination to expand production and business in the context of regional and worldwide unstable political situation and economic developments.

Consul General of India expressed his visions to generate opportunities for Vietnamese students with outstanding academic achievements to study and develop in India.

Consequently, a coherent connection between Vietnam and India has been established which contributes to the development of highly qualified workforce from the third economy in the world.

In 2022, India will celebrate the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence with 75 events and activities organized by the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City including fairs, exhibitions, cultural exchange, promotion of investment-trade-tourism and other activities.
